Our Mission: Empowering Grassroots Cricket in Navi Mumbai

As part of our long-term vision, the Navi Mumbai Tennis Cricket Association (NMTCA) is committed to nurturing cricketing talent across Navi Mumbai by creating a structured and inclusive development pathway—from villages and colonies to competitive leagues. Our mission is to unify efforts, uplift young players, and create real opportunities for growth in both tennis and leather ball cricket.

🎯 Future Vision & Strategic Plan

  1. Establishing Local Net Centers Across Navi Mumbai

    • NMTCA plans to install 2 practice nets in each of Navi Mumbai’s key regions, including villages and colonies.

    • These net centers will serve as training hubs and engagement points for local youth.

  2. Formation of U-16 Zonal Teams

    • From each area, a selected U-16 team will be formed based on trials.

    • These players will receive free leather ball coaching by certified trainers at the NMTCA net centers.

  3. Talent Pipeline to Advanced Academies

    • Identified top talent from local nets will be given direct entry or scholarships into top-tier NMTCA partner academies, ensuring they get national-level grooming.

  4. Free Seminars with Iconic Tennis Ball Players

    • NMTCA will host free motivational seminars led by iconic tennis cricket players to inspire and educate the next generation.

    • These sessions will also cover fitness, technique, mental strength, and sportsmanship.

  5. Leather Ball Cricket Awareness Programs

    • Regular free workshops and seminars will be held to introduce leather ball cricket to young tennis players and help them transition.

    • Focus will be on rules, protective gear use, and gameplay adaptation.

  6. District-Level Talent Identification Camps

    • We will conduct open district-level trials annually to scout hidden gems from government schools, local clubs, and unaffiliated players.

  • Parental Support: Encouraging families to allow children, especially girls, to pursue cricket seriously.

  • Weather & Ground Availability: Managing sessions during monsoon and securing space in urban areas will be tricky.
